I ordered this after some hesitation after reading the reviews but it seems like everything that was a complaint was corrected. It turns on when you step on it, no need for tapping. It’s light weight, attractive, and does its job. We love this scale.

Crazy on New Gamesaver Deluxe Foodsaver
I have begun writing a book and only had Works on the computer. I have had Word in the past so knew I had to get it for this project. When I read of the free update to 2010 I decided to go with the student edition. It has what I need and the 2007 edition price was right plus being able to use it on the desktop and laptop (3 computer family ).Good value compared to elsewhere.

I have not read any of the positive reviews of this book, but I have read some of the negative ones. I was curious to see how the topic of domestic help in the South, in the sixties, would be treated, and instead I was captivated and engrossed in the lives of the women. I know people like those in the book. I know uppity, fanciful, hypocrites, and I know hard-working folk who are taken advantaged of by those in social positions of power, and I know of those who question the status quo, and those who don’t. I thought it was a very interesting read and well-written. Kudos to Kathryn Stockett. I will recommend this book to everyone.

As an author myself, a few years ago I had an idea to write a book called, “A Conversation with God”. It was to be about a man who meets God and asks all the important questions in life. As the author, I would have God respond with my philosophy and ideas on how I think everything works. To my amazement, this has already been done! But one huge difference: mine would have been an admitted work of pure fiction.
In the book “Conversations with God” by Neale Donald Walsch, Walsch makes the bold claim that God was talking to him, not through him, or inspired him… actually talking to him. The book is a continuing dialog between himself and “God”, where he asks the questions and God answers.
First the good: This is an awesome book. I was sold on the book when I Googled the author and watched a few of his videos. He has a great sense of humor and told very entertaining stories. The book is a reflection of the author’s relaxed style of speaking and good-natured humor. His view on God and life in general makes sense – much more so than many ancient religions and dogmas. He says just enough to upset the Christians as well as atheists. I like an author who is not afraid to ruffle everyone’s feathers.
Now the bad. I believe the author is deceiving us. Based on where he was in his life, it is quite clear that he would do just about anything to bounce back from the “Hell on earth” in which he resided. A pretend conversation with God might sell a few books, but a REAL conversation with God, now that is recipe for a best-seller. But who am I to know that God did not choose him to reveal himself to the world? I am a thinking man who took this author’s own advice (or God’s advice – I forget) and thought this through instead of being a mindless follower.
1) His life called for desperate measures – this claim is pretty desperate
2) “God’s message” majorly contradicts the Bible and Koran, so if he is right, the Bible is wrong
3) God could easily make someone fully

J D Salinger’s best effort details the thoughts of a seventeen year old boy as he faces the hypocrisy of the adult world with a youthful mind and eye. A classical look at the age old problem of growing to adulthood, a perfect metaphor for the modern world in general.
Well written and told in the first person using Caulfield Holden’s own dialogue this novel should be read by everyone.

Artemis Fowl is a great book for kids.
This book is about a 12 year old boy named Artemis who is a genius and has a head for schemes. Artemis along with his body guard Butler go on adventures in an attempt to get his families fortune back. In order to accomplish this task his current scheme is to see if he can steal fairy gold without dying.
The Fairy world is made up of a lot of different creatures who are policed by a group called the LEPrecons. Holly Short a member of the fairy LEPrecon Unit gets herself kidnapped by Artemis. The LEPrecon force works to save Holly, stop Artemis, and protect there most favorite thing…Gold.
This the first of many adventures that Artemis, Butler, and Holly have together. I would recommend this book to anyone who would be willing to go on an adventuress adventure.

This book is about a boy genius in search of riches who holds a fairy from a fairy community for hostage to gain magical items. All of this was done just because he found a magical book for fairies.
I think this book was good only in the first half and then it went downhill from there. In the beginning the book caught your attention with interesting phrases, good word choice, comedy, and colorful descriptive words. But in the second half the book was just about how the fairies tried to get the hostage back from him. The author could have kept the whole book interesting to make it better. — Nicholas
