Artemis Fowl is a magical action story. In the beginning Artemis goes to Cairo to visit a sprit. He goes to download a book. Next he captures a fairy named Captain Short. The fairies try to get Captain Short back. They send in a troll to kill Artemis to free her, then they send ransom money. They get Captain Short back, but then they want their money back. Finally, they bombed the house, but Artemis and Butler, the butler, survive.

This is great if you work long shifts and have a small dog. I have a 7 lb bolognese dog and the breeder litter box trains the dogs from the puppy stage on. We got her home and she just jumped in the litter box and went. She has used it now for a year with very little accidents. It’s great and I only replace the litter every 7 – 10 days!

This DVD contains a very crisp, virtually flawless copy of this pretty weird but visually beautiful black and white movie. The plot is inspired by Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians: People are holed up on an island in the Mediterranean and somebody is killing them off one by one. There is quite some gore and brutality. One character’s face is covered with blood throughout the movie, although one would think he has plenty of occasions to wash it off. Jayne Mansfield’s eye makeup starts running, too. What’s more, she has a shiner (result of a fight with an other lady on a small fishing boat)! She basically plays a parody of herself and is quite effective in that role. Cinematography and set design are of high quality and make Dog eat Dog something like an offbeat arthouse movie. Did Quentin Tarantino ever watch it? The whole set up reminded me repeatedly of his Reservoir Dogs.

Interesting bonus material contains two short b&w newsreel items, one about Mansfield’s visit to Budapest with then husband Micky Hargitay – apparently made by a Hungarian crew for Hungarian moviegoers (the visit was made en route to the set of Dog eat Dog in Yugoslavia). The second is a very short announcment of Mansfield’s untimely death with stock footage showing her with the British Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret (of all people). Echoes from the past …
Dog Eat Dog!

Alright so about 3 months ago I asked my vet how much a dog teeth cleaning would cost me. Because the dog would have to be put under anesthesia, she said total would be about $350. Pretty steep but I thought I should give my dog a cleaning since he was in need of one. Last month I called in to make the dental appt. and was surprised to hear their prices have gone up to $550….c’mon people, I love my dog a lot but in today’s economy $550 is a lot of money, certainly almost more than a car payment. I stumbled on these Checkups at my local Costco and have been using them for a week. I am AMAZED at how well these work!!! In just a week I have noticed a real drastic reduction in plaque buildup and in the bad breath. I highly recommend these, my dog loves em so much, it’s his special treat and at the same time it’s helping his teeth and the bad breath issue. Can’t beat that, and the Costco price is awesome! Try these.

There is more here that you can definitely do with the Ipod Touch in 8 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. But, this review is for the 32 GB. It can definitely hold a whole lot in the simple Ipod. While there is so much you can do from surf the internet through your favorite Wi-Fi spot and play songs you’ve downloaded from your favorite music service, there are a few faults. The first disadvantage is that the battery life can easily lose its steam after only a few hours, especially when you’ve downloaded so many games to play. It isn’t just that alone, but it also takes awhile to re-charge itself up unlike other MP3 Players on the market. It can be very discouraging, especially when you just want to take it out, after you’ve filled it with your favorite media. Not only that, but it is very sensative to control, and takes a little bit to get used to when you’ve first bought it. Nevertheless, after a couple of days, you’ll be in the best of control.

This thing is great. I have one myself and just bought another for a friend. It works on any vehicles dash. The base is flexible to form to any contor and the bottom is tacky enough to stay put. It does not ever have anything stick to it like dirt and such. Works perfectly. Only draw back is it is a little bulky but I guess that is what makes it so stable.
